Shane Amidan

Staff Accountant
Shane Amidan’s path to accounting took a few unexpected turns. He originally planned to become a physical therapist, then considered a career as a golf course professional, but it was his accounting classes that ultimately won him over. Once he discovered how much he enjoyed the problem-solving and strategy side of accounting, he made the switch and never looked back.
Shane earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from BYU–Idaho and his Master of Accounting from Utah State University. As a Staff Accountant at A+P CPAs, he focuses on tax preparation and enjoys helping both individuals and businesses navigate their tax situations. He especially likes working with small business owners and finding opportunities that can help clients save money and make informed financial decisions.
A strong believer in communication, Shane strives to make every client feel valued and supported. He knows taxes can be stressful, and he wants clients to know he’s in their corner, working hard to help them achieve the best possible outcome. For Shane, building trust is just as important as getting the numbers right.
Outside of work, Shane enjoys spending time with his family, whether that means hiking, playing pickleball, relaxing together, or heading to the golf course. In fact, he taught golf lessons for four years while working his way through school. He’s also a dedicated BYU football and basketball fan, and one of his bucket-list goals is to finally become a BYU football season ticket holder. Go Cougs!
Since joining A+P, Shane has appreciated the firm’s open communication and supportive culture. His favorite memory so far? Helping his team claim victory at Firm Fun Day’s game show competition—an accomplishment he’s not quite ready to let his coworkers forget.
